Assignment Visible Date
The Visible Date is when the students can view the contents of a particular assignment. This feature allows you to control when your students can begin working on an assignment. For example, you may want to put the Quiz Questions in a separate assignment that is not visible to students until after class so that their answers are a measure of individual understanding. You may also want to hide an assignment until the start of class so that students cannot work ahead.
You can set the Visible Date for each assignment as you create it on the Assignments page. You also have the choice to click the Make Visible Now button so that the content is immediately available to students. If you have course sections, our auto set feature can ensure that students in all course sections have the same amount of time to complete the assignment.
Assignment Due Date
The Due Date is when the assignment is due. The due date does not prevent the students from submitting answers; however, if you have set a Late Penalty, students submitting answers after the due date will be subject to that penalty unless they have a Late Penalty Exemption.
You can set the due date for each assignment as you create it on the Assignments page. If you have Course Sections, our auto set feature can ensure that students in all course sections have the same amount of time to complete the assignment.
Scores Visible Date
The Scores Visible date is when students will be able to see their score for the assignment in their Student Dashboard. After the scores are visible, students can no longer submit answers unless they have a Late Penalty Exemption.
The Scores Visible date can be set on the Assignment edit window. You also have the option to click the Publish Scores Now button if the assignment due date has passed for all sections.
Answers Visible Date
The Answers Visible date is when students can see the correct answer for any question they answered incorrectly. After this date, students can no longer submit any answers, even if they have a Late Penalty Exemption.
The Answers Visible date can be set on the Assignment edit window. You also have the option to click the Publish Answers Now button if both the assignment due date and scores visible date have passed for all sections.
