Setting a Late Penalty

The default setting for the late penalty is 0%. The late answer penalty is applied globally to all assignments, but you can grant a Late Penalty Exemption to any student(s) on any assignment(s).

To add a late penalty:

1. Log into the SimBio Active Learning System.
2. Click on the Assignments button on the left-hand side of the screen.
3. In the upper right-hand corner of the Assignments page, click on the Edit (pencil) button in the upper right-hand corner of the Default Settings for all Assignments box.
4. Enter your late penalty percentage by typing the number or use the arrows in the box to scroll to the appropriate value.
5. Click Save.
