*Note: Students will not be able to see their SimUText assignments until you have created the assignments on your Instructor Platform.
If your school does not currently have an integration agreement with SimBio, please start by reading Initiate a Canvas Integration with SimBio Active Learning System. If your school does have an integration agreement and your LMS admin has confirmed that they have installed the application, you may proceed to follow these instructions.

Within your Course, click the Modules button on the left hand side menu. Then in the upper right hand corner of the modules page, click +Module.

On the page that comes up, title your module in the upper right corner. We recommend titling it something to do with SimBio as this is where they will come to access all of their SimBio Assignments. Then click "Add Module" in the lower right hand corner.

Next, click the "+" button in the upper right hand corner of the Module's title.

When the new overlay pops up, you will want to go to the dropdown next to the word "Add" and find "External Tool." SimBio Active Learning System should be one of the options that comes up in the window. If it is not, contact your LMS admin for support or reach out to us. Click on "SimBio Active Learning System." Make sure that "Load in a new tab" is checked! And then click "Add Item" in the lower right corner.

Publish the module and all items using the circle with a slash through it dropdown menu.

Then click on the SimBio Active Learning System link in the module. You will be taken to a page that says "Load SimBio Active Learning System in a new window. Go ahead and click on that.

You will need the SimUText key that your sales associate emailed to you. You can also find it by logging into your Instructor Platform and going to the Student Roster/Registration page. Paste that SimUText key in the form that pops up and click "Submit".
- You should see a "Success" form pop up. Go ahead and click "Confirm".

You should then see a confirmation page that shows this module has been correctly attached to your SimUText. Students will now be able to register for their SimUText when they click on the SimBio Active Learning System link from their Canvas Account.
- Remember that for students to see any work in their SimUText, you must first set up assignments in your Instructor Platform.
